More Free Stuff to Help Ease Kids’ Boredom, and One for Adults

Although many states have partially re-opened some businesses, the vast majority of kids are still stuck at home and going bonkers out of boredom.

Although many states have partially re-opened some businesses, the vast majority of kids are still stuck at home and going bonkers out of boredom. As a dad adjusting to work-from-home life, I know very well how tough kids are taking it. Their schedules and routines were suddenly wrecked, and a lot of our kiddos still haven’t quite adjusted. Heck, most of us adults haven’t adjusted.

To help ease a little bit of the boredom that seems to be a part of daily life now, I’ve found a few more free resources that might help. And, the first one is for both kids and adults!

Audible Stories

A couple of weeks ago, Audible launched Audible Stories. This is a 100% free site that requires no sign-up and no special download. There are tons of free audiobooks for all ages. Literary classics like Brave New World and The Call of the Wild. More popular contemporary works like the Harry Potter series. And, for the younglings, books like Winnie the Pooh and The Tales of Peter Rabbit. Go check it out by clicking this link. I’m sure you’ll find something that both you and the kiddos will enjoy.

Scholastic Learn at Home

Scholastic is providing four weeks of free daily educational activities for Pre-K through Grade 9. To learn more, click here.

Noggin

Noggin is offering a free 60-day trial of its educational programming. They have tons of educational and fun shows for kids. To learn more, click here.

Free Kids’ Books

Last, but certainly not least, I’m still offering two of my kids’ books for free. My Daddy, the Amazing Nurse and Mighty Mommies and Their Amazing Jobs talk about nurses, physicians, scientists, firefighters, police officers, and other community helpers and STEM workers. You can download or read online for free by clicking here. No sign-up required, although there are some additional freebies that you can grab by signing up for my free newsletter.

Please share this link with parents that you think might need some help! 🙂

Have you found any fun, free stuff that isn’t listed in my blog? Send me an e-mail so that I can share!
